RESOLUTION NO. 2013- 2 i' ' <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br /> ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) <br /> FORD F150 4X4 TRUCKS AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT FROM DUVAL <br /> FORD FLEET SALES FOR USE BY THE PARKS DIVISION, IN AN <br /> AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FORTY-TWO THOUSAND SEVENTY-TWO <br /> DOLLARS ($42,072.00); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO <br /> ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; <br /> PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the Parks Division of the Cultural and Community Services Department has <br /> six (6) to (8) employees working at one time covering seven (7) parks, and the current fleet <br /> consists of four (4) vehicles; and <br /> WHEREAS, with the addition of Intracoastal Park and Pier Park, the area in which the <br /> Parks Division must cover has grown, and each employee should have a vehicle to use while on <br /> duty to perform their job efficiently; and <br /> WHEREAS, the vehicles were budgeted in Fiscal Year 2012-2013 and with the re- <br /> opening of the Pier and the near completion of Intracoastal Park, the City purchased two (2) Ford <br /> F150 4x4 vehicles and associated equipment from Duval Ford Fleet Sales, piggy-backing Florida <br /> Sheriff's Association Bid No. 13-21-0904, in an amount not to exceed Forty-Two Thousand <br /> Seventy-Two Dollars ($42,072.00). <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Ratifying the Purchase of Vehicles. The City Commission hereby ratifies the <br /> purchase of two (2) Ford F150 4x4 trucks and associated equipment from Duval Ford Fleet <br /> Sales, for use by the Parks Division, in an amount not to exceed Forty-Two Thousand Seventy- <br /> Two Dollars ($42,072.00). <br /> Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br /> things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> Section 3. Effective Date.
