Unfortunately, the State of Florida <br /> has not sought to enforce this law. <br /> To ensure compliance with Section 501.0117, Florida Statutes, the proposed ordinance will <br /> specify that a violation of Section 501.0117 may result in the revocation of a business license <br /> after the appropriate warning notice. Seeking criminal penalties for such violation may not be the <br /> solution where such violator may not be aware of the prohibition. The City can provide such <br /> warning notices to protect the general welfare. <br /> This Ordinance was requested by Commissioner Jeanette Gatto. <br /> Agenda Item _ q J <br /> Date 10- n- I J <br />
