Hines, CMC, City Clerk <br />RE: Ordinance Amending Sections 265 -36 and 265 -38 of the City Code <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />This Ordinance is presented for your consideration. <br />REASONS <br />The purpose of the attached Ordinance is to ensure that new and existing buildings on the west side of <br />Collins Avenue are compatible in terms of density. Under the City Code, apartment- hotels are <br />provided with a greater density per acre than apartments or condominiums. By adopting this <br />Ordinance, the City will ensure consistent development on the west side of Collins Avenue. It is <br />important to note that apartment - hotels are prohibited uses in the Town- Center District, which <br />boundaries extend from 167th Street to 172nd Street. <br />
