<br />79 THE FINAL FIELD PLACEMENT AND FIELD OF VIEW FOR EACH CAMERA LOCATION SHALL BE DETERMINED BY ON
<br />SITE CONDITIONS. PRIOR TO THE PURCHASE OF ANY (CCTV) HARDWARE THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN
<br />WRITTEN ACCEPTANCE OF PROPOSED PLACEMENTS AND ASSOCIATED FOCAL LENGTHS FROM THE OWNER OR
<br />ITS AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE.
<br />80 ALL PENETRATIONS THROUGH FIRE RATED BUILDING STRUCTURES, WALLS, AND FLOORS SHALL BE SEALED
<br />WITH AN APPROPRIATE FIRE STOP SYSTEM. THIS REQUIREMENT APPLIES TO THROUGH PENETRATIONS
<br />(COMPLETE PENETRATION) AND MEMBRANE PENETRATIONS (THROUGH ONE SIDE OF A HOLLOW FIRE RATED

<br />81 THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ENSURE THAT ALL FIRE STOP SYSTEMS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
<br />THE MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATIONS AND SHALL BE COMPLETELY INSTALLED AND AVAILABLE FOR
<br />INSPECTION BY THE LOCAL INSPECTION AUTHORITIES PRIOR TO CABLE SYSTEM ACCEPTANCE.
<br />82 UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE INSTALLATION, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONDUCT FULL SYSTEM
<br />TESTING TO ASSURE THAT THE SYSTEMS ARE CORRECTLY INSTALLED AND FULLY OPERATIONAL. CONFIRM IN
<br />WRITING TO THE ARCHITECT THAT ALL ASPECTS OF THE SYSTEM HAVE BEEN TESTED BY THE CONTRACTOR
<br />AND FOUND TO BE FULLY OPERATIONAL AND READY FOR FINAL ACCEPTANCE TESTING.
<br />83 AT THE CONCLUSION OF TESTING PROVIDE (2) COPIES OF ALL TEST REPORT DOCUMENTATION OF THE TESTS
<br />THAT SHALL REFLECT THE DATE, TIME, AND SYSTEM TESTING RESULTS. ADJUST, BALANCE AND TUNE ALL
<br />EQUIPMENT AS REQUIRED FOR OPTIMUM QUALITY TO MEET MANUFACTURER'S PUBLISHED PERFORMANCE
<br />SPECIFICATIONS AND OWNERS REQUIREMENTS.
<br />1 THE SECURITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (SMS) SHALL INTEGRATE THE DIGITAL VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM
<br />(DVS), CLIENT WORKSTATIONS, FIELD DATA GATHERING PANELS (FIELD PANELS), CARD READERS, AND EACH
<br />SUPPORT DEVICE AS INDICATED HEREIN AND SPECIFIED IN THE CONTRACT SPECIFICATIONS.
<br />2 ALL WIRING AND CABLE BETWEEN DEVICES SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE OPERATING REQUIREMENTS
<br />OF THE SMS SYSTEM AND SHALL SUPPORT COMMUNICATIONS FOR POINT IDENTIFICATION AND ACCESS
<br />CONTROL TRANSACTIONS TO/FROM EACH DEVICE.
<br />3 THE CONTROL WIRING BETWEEN FIELD DEVICES, REMOTE ACCESS CONTROL EQUIPMENT AND FIELD
<br />PANELS/DATA GATHERING PANELS SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF No. 18 AWG AND SHALL BE COLOR-CODED.
<br />4 PROVIDE WIRING FROM THE SMS FIELD PANEL TO THE INSTALLED FIRE ALARM SYSTEM SUCH THAT IN THE
<br />EVENT OF A FIRE ALARM OR WHEN THE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM IS ACTIVATED, ALL DOORS FITTED WITH
<br />ELECTROMAGNETIC LOCKS SHALL REVERT TO FAIL SAFE MODE OF OPERATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
<br />LOCAL AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION AND OWNER OR THEIR AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE.
<br />5 ALL NON STAIRWELL DOORS FITTED WITH ELECTRIC MORTISE LOCKS SHALL REVERT TO A FAIL SECURE MODE

<br />SECURITY FOR DOORS UTILIZING EXIT DEVICES AS INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS. THE CIRCUIT CONNECTION
<br />SHALL BE PROVIDED WITHIN A BACK BOX, MOUNTED ABOVE THE CEILING, WITHIN AN ACCESSIBLE LOCATION
<br />ADJACENT TO THE DOOR. TERMINATE WIRE ENDS WITH INSULATED WIRE NUTS.
<br />11 PROVIDE AN UNSWITCHED DUPLEX OUTLET CONNECTED TO A 120 VAC, 20AMP NON-EMERGENCY CIRCUIT
<br />DEDICATED TO SECURITY FOR EACH SECURITY CONVENIENCE DEVICE AS INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS. THE

<br />12 REVIEW ALL CONTRACT DRAWINGS AND SURVEY EXISTING SITE CONDITIONS PRIOR TO ORDERING EQUIPMENT
<br />OR PROCEEDING WITH WORK.
<br />13 DRAWINGS SHALL BE USED BY THE CONTRACTOR AS A REFERENCE FOR THE REQUIREMENT AND LOCATION OF
<br />THE SYSTEM COMPONENTS. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO ACQUAINT
<br />THEMSELVES WITH ALL OF THE CONTRACT DRAWINGS, AND CONFIRM THE REQUIRED QUANTITIES OF DEVICES
<br />AND SPECIFIC OPTIONS ON LOCATION.
<br />14 PERFORM ALL WORK, PROVIDE PRODUCTS, SYSTEM INTEGRATION, COORDINATION, ENGINEERING, AND
<br />DESIGN WORK REQUIRED FOR THE PROJECT IN ORDER TO ENSURE THE PROPER INSTALLATION OF THE
<br />COMPLETE AND FULLY OPERATIONAL SYSTEMS PURSUANT TO THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.
<br />15 ALL SYSTEMS PROVIDED SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MOST CURRENT REVISION OF THE FEDERAL,
<br />STATE, AND LOCAL CODES AND STANDARDS. THE AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION SHALL PROVIDE FINAL
<br />CLARIFICATION OF CODE REQUIREMENTS. CONFLICT OF ANY CODE REQUIREMENT WILL REQUIRE THE
<br />ADAPTATION OF THE MORE STRINGENT REQUIREMENT FOR THE APPLICATION UNLESS A VARIANCE IS
<br />AUTHORIZED BY THE LOCAL AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION.
<br />16 PROVIDE ALL COMPONENTS, INTERCONNECTION CONDUIT, CABLE/WIRE, APPURTENANCES, AND MATERIALS AS
<br />REQUIRE TO FORM A COMPLETE COORDINATED SYSTEM READY FOR OPERATION.
<br />17 PROVIDE ALL PLAN CHECKS, PERMITS, AND LICENSES NECESSARY FOR THE EXECUTION OF WORK AS
<br />APPLICABLE FOR THE PROJECT. ALL FEES, CHANGES, AND OTHER ASSOCIATED COSTS INCURRED BY THE
<br />FOREGOING SHALL BE BORNE BY THE CONTRACTOR.
<br />18 THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A QUALIFIED AND COMPETENT FACTORY TRAINED AND STATE LICENSED
<br />FIELD SUPERVISOR ON-SITE TO ENSURE THE PROPER INSTALLATION OF ALL SYSTEMS SPECIFIED AND IN
<br />ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE CONSTRUCTION
<br />ACTIVITIES WITH OTHER CONTRACTORS, TRADES, AND OWNER OR THEIR AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE.
<br />19 THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE FACTORY TRAINED AND STATE LICENSED TECHNICIANS FOR THE
<br />INSTALLATION AND SHALL PROVIDE PROOF OF SUCH SYSTEMS AUTHORIZED TRAINING.
<br />20 PROVIDE ALL WIRING FROM EQUIPMENT HARDWARE MANUFACTURER'S TERMINAL STRIPS TO FINAL
<br />CONNECTION POINTS OF EQUIPMENT.
<br />21 THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FIELD VERIFYING ALL EXISTING CONDITIONS AND ANY
<br />CRITICAL DIMENSIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SCOPE OF WORK PRIOR TO SUBMITTING THE CONSTRUCTION
<br />BID. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONFIRM THAT ALL WORK OUTLINED WITHIN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS CAN
<br />BE ACCOMPLISHED AS SHOWN, AND SHALL NOTIFY IN WRITING AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE OF ANY
<br />CONDITIONS ENCOUNTERED WHICH MAY AFFECT BUILDING CODE COMPLIANCE.
<br />22 VERIFY PARTITION LOCATIONS, AND AVOID CONFLICTS WITH LIGHTS, DIFFUSERS, GRILLS, AND OTHER LIKE
<br />OBSTRUCTIONS. LOCATIONS OF ALL VISIBLE DEVICES AND EQUIPMENT SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH THE
<br />ARCHITECT FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL PRIOR TO INITIATION OF WORK.
<br />23 COORDINATE A FINAL SECURITY SYSTEM EQUIPMENT LAYOUT AND ROUTING OF THE CONDUIT WITH THE
<br />CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. ANY CONFLICTS DISCOVERED SHALL IMMEDIATELY BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION
<br />OF THE OWNER FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL PRIOR TO INITIATION OF WORK.
<br />24 EQUIPMENT AND COMPONENTS SHOWN ON THESE PLANS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC IN NATURE AND ARE NOT TO BE
<br />SCALED FOR EXACT DEVICE LOCATIONS. CONTRACTOR SHALL LOCATE DEVICES BASED ON APPLICABLE CODE,
<br />KEY NOTES, AND AS DESIGNED BY THE ARCHITECT.
<br />25 INSTALL ALL MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT IN STRICT ACCORDANCE WITH THE MANUFACTURER'S DIRECTION,
<br />TESTING AND OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES.
<br />26 ALL MATERIALS, DEVICES, AND EQUIPMENT SHALL BE UNUSED, OF CURRENT MANUFACTURER, AND MEET OR
<br />EXCEED THE LATEST PUBLISHED SPECIFICATIONS OF THE MANUFACTURER. DEVICES AND EQUIPMENT SHALL
<br />BE THE LATEST MODEL OF THE MANUFACTURER UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED, OR UNLESS SUCH MODEL
<br />FAILS TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.
<br />27 ALL ELECTRONICS COMPONENTS SHALL BE STANDARD, UNMODIFIED PRODUCTION MODELS EXCEPT AS NOTED
<br />WITH THE LATEST FIRMWARE/BIOS OFFERED BY THE MANUFACTURER AT THE TIME OF THE FINAL TEST.
<br />28 PROTECT ALL EXISTING WORK, AND THE WORK OF OTHER ASSOCIATED TRADES FROM DAMAGE. ALL
<br />EQUIPMENT PROVIDED SHALL BE KEPT INTERNALLY CLEAN AND PROTECTED AGAINST BLOWING DUST, WIND,
<br />STORMS, SUN, FLOOD, RAIN, SNOW, HEAT, RAIN, MOISTURE, AND ANY OTHER DAMAGING FACTORS. ALL
<br />INSTALLATION WORK SHALL BE COVERED AND PROTECTED AGAINST DAMAGE.
<br />29 EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS SHALL BE PROPERLY STORED, ADEQUATELY PROTECTED AND CAREFULLY
<br />HANDLED TO PREVENT DAMAGE BEFORE AND DURING INSTALLATION.
<br />30 EQUIPMENT STORED ON THE PREMISES IS AT THE CONTRACTORS OWN RISK. THE OWNER IS NOT THE
<br />CARETAKER OF UNINSTALLED OR STAGING OF HARDWARE ON-SITE UNLESS PREVIOUSLY AUTHORIZED IN

<br />36 PROVIDE SURGE SUPPRESSION, GROUNDING AND BONDING THAT WILL EFFECTIVELY PROTECT, WITHIN
<br />TESTED LIMITS, THE SYSTEMS HARDWARE AND EQUIPMENT AGAINST LIGHTNING TRANSIENTS, INTERNAL AND
<br />EXTERNAL SWITCHING TRANSIENTS, AND OTHER SURGE TRANSIENTS THROUGHOUT THE USEFUL LIFE OF THE

<br />37 ALL WIRING SHALL BE PROPERLY SUPPORTED AND INSTALLED IN CONDUIT AND CABLE TRAY, ON CENTER AS

<br />40 CABLES SHALL BE ROUTED IN CONDUIT OR OTHER SUITABLE RACEWAY SUBJECT TO ACCEPTANCE BY THE

<br />41 AT LOCATIONS WHERE CABLES PASS THROUGH METAL STUDS OR DOOR FRAMES, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
<br />INSTALL A BUSHING OR GROMMET TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE CABLES.
<br />42 ALL CABLES MUST BE FREE OF TENSION AT BOTH ENDS AND OVER THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE RUN.
<br />43 CABLE TIES AND SUPPORTS SHALL NOT PINCH, BIND, CRIMP, OR IN ANY WAY CAUSE PHYSICAL OR ELECTRICAL
<br />CHARACTERISTIC DAMAGE TO THE CABLING. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ASSURE THAT DURING AND UPON
<br />COMPLETION OF THE INSTALLATION, ALL CABLES ARE FREE OF KINKS, SHARP BENDS, TWISTS, GOUGES, CUTS
<br />OR ANY OTHER PHYSICAL DAMAGE.
<br />44 ALL CABLING SHALL BE PLENUM RATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE NEC.
<br />45 PLENUM RATED CABLE TIES AND CABLE SUPPORTS SHALL BE UTILIZED IN ALL PLENUM RATED SPACES.
<br />46 ALL CABLE RUNS SHALL BE CONTINUOUS BETWEEN DEVICES WITHOUT SPLICES. CONNECTIONS SHALL BE
<br />MADE USING TERMINAL BLOCKS. WIRES CONNECTED TOGETHER SHALL HAVE THE SAME COLOR INSULATION.
<br />ALL CONNECTIONS SHALL BE ACCESSIBLE FOR INSPECTION AND SERVICES AND SHALL BE CLEARLY IDENTIFIED
<br />ON THE CONTRACTOR'S AS-BUILT DRAWINGS. ALL DEVICE BACK BOXES, JUNCTION BOXES AND PULL BOXES
<br />SHALL BE LABELED AND ACCESSIBLE FOR INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE.
<br />47 WIRING COLOR CODE SHALL BE MAINTAINED THROUGHOUT THE INSTALLATION AS REQUIRED BY THE
