Summary Minutes:Regular City Commission Meeting February 21,2019 City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida <br /> Public Speakers: None <br /> Vice Mayor Svechin moved,and Commissioner Viscarra seconded a motion to approve the <br /> resolution as amended. Resolution No.2019-2923 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in <br /> favor. <br /> 11. MOTIONS <br /> 11A. City Manager Christopher J.Russo requested a motion to direct the City Manager to provide <br /> severance to the Interim City Attorney, Interim Assistant City Attorney, and each of the <br /> employees of the Department as follows: 1.) In addition to all leave time accrued, six (6) <br /> weeks per year for every year of continuous employment not to exceed twenty(20)weeks of <br /> compensation(limitation per Section 215.425,F.S.);and 2.)In light of the circumstances and <br /> in consideration of this severance payment,execution of a separation agreement containing a <br /> waiver and release to be required from each Department employee and payment by March <br /> 31, 2019. <br /> Commissioner Viscarra moved,and Commissioner Lama seconded to approve the motion. <br /> The motion passed a by vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> 12. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> 12A. Deferred: <br /> Consulting Agreement with Art Curator Glenn Long. <br /> [Clerks'Note: This item was deferred to a later meeting.] <br /> 12B. Status of City Advisory Committee. <br /> A discussion was held regarding the future of the City's Advisory Committee ("CAC") led <br /> by Commissioner Goldman. Commissioner Goldman stated that she would present a report <br /> to the City Commission giving her recommendations on a few focus areas and tasks to be <br /> undertaken by the CAC. <br /> 13. CITIZENS' FORUM: REQUESTS, PETITIONS & OTHER COMMUNICATIONS <br /> Speakers: Joyce Keller. <br /> 14.
