Take photos -- record project status before the storm hits. <br /> 3. Instruct sub-contractors not to start any new jobs and complete jobs in progress. <br /> 4. Secure trailers and staging areas at least one month ahead of the storm season. <br /> 5. Store inside buildings small items that can be carried away by storm winds or rapid flowing <br /> waters. <br /> 6. Include in your plan your subcontractors' materials, personnel and property. <br /> 7. Stock with sufficient drinking water to supply at least five days without potable drinking <br /> water from local municipality. <br /> 8. Prepare a complete office material supply for several days. <br /> D. Severe Weather <br /> Severe weather procedures are utilized for impending threat of hurricane,high winds, tornadoes or <br /> lightning storms. <br /> 1. General Procedures <br /> a. Contractors/Subcontractors, of any tier, will need to develop and submit a copy of <br /> their site specific severe weather plan. This plan will include a complete list of <br /> management personnel, in order of authority, to contact in the event of an emergency <br /> on this site. The list needs to be kept current and include the after-hours telephone <br /> numbers of the individuals to be contacted. <br /> b. Develop a "Call-In" team for post storm activities. <br /> c. Firmly anchor field trailers, temporary buildings and materials. <br /> d. Lower crawler and mobile cranes at the end of each shift if possible. Cranes not <br /> capable of lowering booms are to be secured in accordance with the manufacturer's <br /> recommendations. <br /> e. Special: ALL operations cease upon 39 mph sustained winds, 4 hour shut down <br /> notice, at the Ft.
