AN EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
#spreadthegreen
The Ecopreneur’s Playbook for the
GreenTech Micromanufacturing Revolution
by Dr. Pandwe Gibson
A Manufacturing Revolution is Underway
It’s creative. Income-generating. Inclusive. Local. And green.

Hey, America! Manufacturing is baaaaack, and its newest iteration is micro, local, and accessible.
In #spreadthegreen: The Ecopreneur’s Playbook for the GreenTech Micromanufacturing Revolution, author Dr. Pandwe Gibson introduces the
GreenTech Micromanufacturing Revolution (GTMM) to ordinary folks in undeserved communities in cities and towns across nations.
Part social movement, part economic opportunity, GTMM, also called advanced manufacturing, offers the everyday innovator a way to
create products and profit through local micro manufacturing, while also protecting people and the planet.
GTMM is an emerging, digital, vital, relevant, practical and sustainable ecosystem comprised of ecopreneurs, creators, programmers,
co-workers, collaborators, mentors, investors and nonprofits, all working together in apprentice-based incubators and other communal
workspaces to start small businesses, rebuild communities and advance lives. Yet many Americans are not yet aware of this potentially
life-changing option, having cut our collective teeth on decades of restrictive, dirty, expensive, high-minimum factories and offshore
outsourcing. The average person was shut out.
What’s also new is connecting micromanufacturing with green and tech. GTMM offers an achievable, sustainable, small-batch, wealth-
generation opportunity. Dr. Gibson’s ecopreneurial vision is to bring micromanufacturing back to communities across the land so people
can become self-sustaining, sustainable business owners. Best of all, there’s no need for the expensive student loans that Dr. Gibson
undertook. It has always been important to her to be around the best people, so her degrees have brought massive value. Yet she has said
that she learned about business when she ran one. Same goes for GTMM. So #spreadthegreen has been created as an alternate,
relevant learning at an everyman-mba level specific to this emerging industry. It’s about understanding where the best people
and proper resources are and accessing them to achieve your goals.
The book is designed as a “show and tell” for ecopreneurs who want to create a green product, service or business,
but have no idea how to go about it. It also features a rich assortment of relevant resources, and a glossary explaining
the language of both business and green, eliminating substantial pain from the learning curve.
#spreadthegreen features the ETV|MBA curriculum Dr. Gibson developed for her own GTMM incubator, EcoTech Visions (ETV) in
Miami, FL. Along with specific information on how to start, certify and operate an eco product, service or business, her ETV|G.O.A.L.
™ strategies and ETV| Seven Steps to Green ™ help readers take their product from idea to startup to market.
Don’t try to read this book in a day. Rather, use it as a guide to be referred to over and over again as you progress though your green
product and business development. If some of the content is familiar, skip around to those sections that aren’t. Likewise, return to any
step for reminders as you journey through your creation process. It’s textbook-ish, only more fun. Instead of a grade, you can end up
with a business and a product.
