RESOLUTION NO. 2019- 29 CO <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH OF <br /> MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE CITY <br /> OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH TENTATIVE AD VALOREM TAX <br /> MILLAGE LEVY RATE AT 2.2000 MILLS PER ONE <br /> THOUSAND DOLLARS($1,000.00)OF TAXABLE ASSESSED <br /> VALUE WHICH IS 2.20% LESS THAN THE "ROLLED <br /> BACK" RATE OF 2.2495 MILLS, FOR FISCAL YEAR <br /> 2019/2020; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS,the Property Appraiser of Miami-Dade County,Florida,served upon the City of <br /> Sunny Isles Beach a"Certification of 2019 Taxable Value"; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 200.065,F.S.,the City of Sunny Isles Beach furnished the <br /> County Property Appraiser the proposed millage rate, and the date, time and place at which public <br /> hearings will be held to consider the tentative millage rate and tentative budget; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Commission agrees to establish the proposed ad valorem tax millage <br /> levy rate at 2.2000 mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of taxable assessed value. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Adopt the Tentative Millage Rate. The proposed millage rate is hereby adopted as <br /> 2.2000 mills per One Thousand Dollars($1,000.00)of assessed property value in the City of Sunny <br /> Isles Beach. The proposed millage reflected is 2.20% less than the "rolled back" rate of 2.2495 <br /> mills, for Fiscal Year 2019/2020. <br /> Section 2. Effective Date.
