CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor Scholl at 6:00 p.m., with the following officials <br /> present: <br /> Mayor George "Bud" Scholl City Manager Christopher J. Russo <br /> Vice Mayor Larisa Svechin City Attorney Edward A. Dion <br /> Commissioner Dana Goldman City Clerk Mauricio Betancur, CMC <br /> Commissioner Alex Lama Deputy City Manager Stan Morris <br /> Commissioner Jeniffer Viscarra <br /> 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE/ORDER OF BUSINESS <br /> Action: Mayor Scholl gave the opening remarks noting that tonight is our second and final <br /> budget hearing for Fiscal Year 2019/2020. Our first budget hearing was held on Tuesday, <br /> September 10, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. The pledge of allegiance was given by a student of the <br /> Norman S. Edelcup Sunny Isles Beach K-8 School. <br /> 3. PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED MILLAGE RATE AND TENTATIVE <br /> BUDGET <br /> 3A. Millage Resolution (Public Hearing) <br /> A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach of Miami-Dade, <br /> County,Florida,Adopting the City of Sunny Isles Beach Final Ad Valorem Tax Millage <br /> Levy Rate at 2.2000 Mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) of Taxable Assessed Value <br /> Which is 2.20% Less than the "Rolled Back" Rate of 2.2495 Mills, for Fiscal Year <br /> 2019/2020; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> Action: City Clerk Mauricio Betancur read the title, and City Manager Russo reported. <br /> Public Speakers: None <br /> Commissioner Goldman moved and Vice Mayor Svechin seconded a motion to approve the <br /> resolution. Resolution No. 2019-2969 was adopted by voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> 3B.
