RESOLUTION NO. 2019- 30,2- <br /> A <br /> 002A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br /> SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING A THIRD <br /> AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH PERKINS+WILL <br /> ARCHITECTS,INC. FOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SERVICES FOR <br /> THE GOVERNMENT CENTER ANNEX AT 18080 COLLINS AVENUE, <br /> TO INCLUDE COORDINATION WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF <br /> TRANSPORTATION AND OTHER REGULATORY AGENCIES <br /> RELATING TO THE PEDESTRIAN OVERPASS BRIDGE, IN AN <br /> AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS <br /> ($50,000.00), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING <br /> THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID THIRD AMENDMENT; <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS <br /> NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING <br /> FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, on April 30, 3015 the City issued Request for Qualifications No. 15-04-01 <br /> for Architectural Design Services for a New Facility at 18080 Collins Avenue, of which eight (8) <br /> responses were received; and <br /> WHEREAS, on September 17, 2017 via Resolution No. 2015-2459 the City Commission <br /> ratified an agreement with Perkins+Will Architects, Inc. to provide Architectural Design Services <br /> for the Government Annex Building at 18080 Collins Avenue ("Agreement"), in an amount not to <br /> exceed $2,222,000.00; and <br /> WHEREAS, on December 17, 2015 via Resolution No. 2015-2504, the City Commission <br /> approved a First Amendment to the Agreement to include interior design and consultant design <br /> fees for the 250-seat Community Theater integrated within the design of the Government Annex <br /> Building, in an amount not to exceed $229,300.00; and <br /> WHEREAS, on April 19, 2018 via Resolution No. 2018-2812, the City Commission <br /> approved a Second Amendment to the Agreement to include the design of a pedestrian overpass <br /> bridge integrated within the design of the Government Annex Building, in an amount not to exceed <br /> $370,000.00; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Commission now wishes to approve a Third Amendment to the <br /> Agreement with Perkins+Will Architects, Inc. to include coordination with the Department of <br /> Transportation and other regulatory agencies having jurisdiction over Collins Avenue relating to <br /> not to exceed FiftyThousand $50 000.00 bringing <br /> the pedestrian overpass bridge, in an amount ( ), g g <br /> the total contract amount not to exceed Two Million Eight Hundred Seventy-One Thousand Three <br /> Hundred Dollars ($2,871,300.00), attached hereto as Exhibit"A". <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1.
