Request of St.Tropez Beach Developers,LLC("Applicant")for the property located at <br /> 16690 Collins Avenue, Site Plan Modification for the following: (Hearing#PZ2019-10): <br /> Requests: <br /> 1. Pursuant to Section 265-18 of the City of Sunny Isles Beach Land Development <br /> Regulations,the Applicant is requesting a site plan modification to reduce the width size <br /> of 25 parking spaces. <br /> 2. Pursuant to Section 265-15 of the City of Sunny Isles Beach Land Development <br /> Regulations (LDRs), the Applicant is requesting a variance of the parking space size <br /> requirements. According to Section 265-46 A. (7) (a) of the City's LDRs, a parking <br /> space within a commercial development is required to provide no less than 9 feet in <br /> width, whereas this application is requesting approval of 25 parking spaces at no less <br /> than 8 feet and 6 inches. <br /> Action: City Clerk Mauricio Betancur asked if there were any Ex Parte disclosures to which <br /> Mayor Scholl and Commissioners Goldman, Lama, and Viscarra all stated they had <br /> previously met with the applicant; Vice Mayor Svechin stated she had not had any previous <br /> communication with the applicant. <br /> Planning and Zoning Director Claudia Hasbun reported that the applicant is seeking approval <br /> of a site plan modification to reduce the width of 25 parking spaces within the Project. The <br /> Applicant is proposing a variance of the width size of 25 parking spaces for a minimum of 8 <br /> feet and 6 inches whereas 9 feet is required. The application is consistent with the <br /> Comprehensive Plan and generally consistent with the City's Land Development Regulations. <br /> Public Speakers (listed alphabetically): Castaneda, Ed; Kizhner, Felix; Milton, Joe; <br /> Schulman, Cliff. <br /> Commissioner Goldman moved, and Commissioner Viscarra seconded a motion for <br /> approval.
