RESOLUTION NO. 2019- 104 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br /> FLORIDA,APPROVING AN INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT WITH <br /> MIAMI-DADE COUNTY FOR THE USE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE <br /> SOFTWARE, ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS <br /> NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION;PROVIDING <br /> FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the Florida Interlocal Cooperation Act of 1969 (Chapter 163, Florida State <br /> Statutes)grants the City of Sunny Isles Beach and other participating agencies the authority to enter <br /> into interlocal agreements in order to permit local governmental units to make the most efficient use <br /> of their powers by enabling them to cooperate with other localities on a basis of mutual advantage; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS,Miami-Dade County,through the Miami-Dade County Police Department,has <br /> access to the Florida Criminal Justice Network, National Crime Information Center, the Florida <br /> Crime Information Center, and the Interstate Identification Index,collectively referred hereafter as <br /> FCIC; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into an Interagency Agreement with Miami-Dade <br /> County to obtain access to FCIC for the administration of criminal justice,attached hereto as Exhibit <br /> "A» <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Approval of Agreement. The City Commission hereby approves an Interagency <br /> Agreement with Miami-Dade County to obtain access to FCIC for the administration of criminal <br /> justice, attached hereto as Exhibit"A". <br /> Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br /> things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> Section 3. Effective Date.
