TRAFFIC DATA COLLECTION
Traffic data were collected on Thursday, September 27, and Saturday, September 29, 2018.
Eightâhour pedestrian counts crossing State Road A1A/Collins Avenue were collected in two
zones north and south of the intersection at 174
th Street. The northern zone included the
signalized crosswalk north of 175th Terrace. The southern zone was roughly centered between
the intersections of NE 172nd Street and NE 174th Street. Video cameras were installed to capture
the pedestrian zones and particularly the pedestrian crossings at each location. The video files
were reviewed to count aforementioned pedestrian crossings. Figures 3 and 4 depict these
pedestrian zones.
