and objectives for all phases of the project. This
planning of the process is done with The City,
Perkins and Will and required consultants and
is customized to meet the needs of this elevated
pedestrian park project.
Our Approach - Communication with the City
Communication is at the core of our design
philosophy. Our ability to listen enables us to
hear even the most subtle differences clients
have in terms of needs, desires, and budgets.
These factors, combined with the responding
to the unique qualities of each project and
site, have resulted in the marked variety of our
public project design solutions.
We promote an interactive process with the
participation of stakeholders. We believe
that successful projects are only possible
with good communication among all project
team members.
Above and Below:
City of Miami Beach City Hall Annex and
Pedestrian Bridge, Miami Beach, Florida
How will the Perkins and
Will team exceed Sunny
Isles Beach’s expectations?
The success of this pedestrian bridge project is largely
determined by its process. The process sets the tone and
foundation for addressing the needs of the users, finding
economical and creative solutions based on those needs,
and designing an experience that promotes the City’s
goals and ideals.
We have assembled a tailored team of professionals that
have collaborated successfully on a range of different public,
municipal and civic projects. We consciously chose this team in
order to provide the City with a group of experts, well versed in
public space design and elevated walkways.
Our entire management approach is focused on fulfilling
the City’s objectives and staying within the budget and on
schedule. Before any line is drawn, our team engages in a
thorough planning effort to establish a common set of goals
Project Approach
18
