WHEREAS, on March 18, 2021, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an additional
<br />seven (7) days, until March 24, 2021; and
<br />WHEREAS, on March 25, 2021, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an additional
<br />seven (7) days, until March 31, 2021; and
<br />WHEREAS, on April 1, 2021, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an additional
<br />seven (7) days, until April 7, 2021; and
<br />WHEREAS, on April 8, 2021, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an additional
<br />seven (7) days, until April 14, 2021; and
<br />WHEREAS, on April 15, 2021, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an additional
<br />seven (7) days, until April 21, 2021; and
<br />WHEREAS, on April 22, 2021, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an additional
<br />seven (7) days, until April 28, 2021; and
<br />WHEREAS, on April 29, 2021, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an additional
<br />seven (7) days, until May 5, 2021; and
<br />WHEREAS, on May 6, 2021, the City Manager extended the Declaration of Local Emergency for an additional
<br />seven (7) days, until May 12, 2021; and
<br />WHEREAS, due to COVID-19, the City Manager has determined that a condition of extreme peril of public health
<br />and welfare continues to exist, thereby necessitating the continued state of emergency.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
<br />An emergency continues to exist throughout the City of Sunny Isles Beach; and
<br />The declared state of Local Emergency is hereby extended for an additional seven (7) days, until May 19, 2021.
<br />IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that during the continued existence of said emergency the powers, functions, and
<br />duties of the City Manager/designee of the City of Sunny Isles Beach be those prescribed by State law and the ordinances,
<br />resolutions, and approved plans of the City of Sunny Isles Beach in order to mitigate the effects of said emergency.
