St,t1NY r�F <br /> EMERGENCY ORDER 09 AND SUPPLEMENT TO <br /> Y 0/tUN N <br /> DECLARED STATE OF EMERGENCY <br /> WHEREAS, on March 12, 2020, the City Manager declared a Local Emergency as a result of <br /> COVID-19; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager has extended the declared state of Local Emergency every seven <br /> (7) days since that date; and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 1, 2020, the City Manager issued Emergency Order 06-20 and Supplement <br /> to Declared State of Emergency, reopening certain parks and recreational facilities subject to restrictions; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 14, 2020 the Governor, via Executive Order 20-122 has allowed Miami- <br /> Dade County to proceed to Phase 1 of the Safe, Smart, Step by Step Plan for Florida's Recovery, subject <br /> to the limitations imposed in Executive Order 20-112 paragraphs two through six; and <br /> WHEREAS, On May 15, 2020, Miami Dade County Mayor Gimenez issued Emergency Order <br /> 23-20 which permits retail and commercial establishments to open for business, provided that such <br /> establishments follow the requirements set forth in the "Moving to a New Normal Handbook" and <br /> supplemental guidelines for outdoor restaurants, both attached and incorporated into said order; and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 29, 2020, the City Manager issued Emergency Order 08-20, amending <br /> Emergency Order 06-20 removing Samson Oceanfront Park and Newport Fishing Pier from the list of <br /> parks subject to a limited reopening in Paragraph (3)(A), and with respect to those two parks, providing <br /> for hours of operation of 7:00 am—8:00 pm, and that all persons must comply with the protocols set forth <br /> in the"Moving to a New Normal Handbook" governing Parks and Open Spaces, as may be amended; and <br /> WHEREAS, on June 4, 2020, Miami Dade County Mayor Gimenez issued Amendment No. 2 to <br /> Emergency Order 21-20, which permits dog parks to reopen, if operated in accordance with the Moving <br /> to A New Normal Handbook and Emergency Order 23-20; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to further relax its restrictions, consistent with <br /> the direction taken by Miami Dade County, by issuing a second amendment to Emergency Order 06-20, <br /> to allow dog parks to reopen. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DECLARED AND ORDERED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. Paragraph 3 of Emergency Order 06-20, as amended, is hereby amended and restated as follows: <br /> 3. Limited Reopening of Park and Recreational Facilities and Guidelines. <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
