<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach |Request for Qualifications No. 20-07-01 21 <br /> <br />nonlinear finite element analysis, and integrity assessment of structural elements. Design of <br />repair/strengthening techniques and development of construction documents for all types of <br />structures such as, buildings, bridges, seawalls, and water and wastewater plant structures. <br /> <br />9. ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING – Including but not limited to: monitoring and mitigation, <br />environmental studies and reports. The Consultant shall provide design, construction documents, <br />construction administration and various reports for environmental engineering related projects. <br />Consultant shall apply for, process and obtain permits from various environmental regulatory <br />agencies, including, but not limited to Department for Environmental Resources Management <br />(DERM), Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), and Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) <br />for City projects. <br /> <br />10. CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING AND INSPECTION (CEI) SERVICES <br /> <br />Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services to include contract administration, <br />inspection, and materials sampling and testing. <br /> <br />It shall be the responsibility of the CEI Consultant to administer, monitor, and inspect Construction <br />Contracts such that the project is constructed in reasonable conformity with the plans, <br />specifications, and special provisions for the Construction Contract. Observe the Contractor’s work <br />to determine the progress and quality of work. Identify discrepancies, report discrepancies to the <br />City, and direct the Contractor to correct such observed discrepancies. Inform the designated <br />CITY project personnel of any omissions, substitutions, defects, and deficiencies noted in the <br />work of the Contractor and the corrective action that has been directed to be performed by the <br />Contractor. <br /> <br />3.0.1 CONTINUED <br /> <br />The selected Consultant(s) may be required to investigate, analyze, evaluate, report, <br />coordinate, prepare plans, specifications and contract documents, bid/award and <br />evaluation and services during construction, perform construction engineering services, <br />for any of the aforementioned disciplines, related matters, as well as any other <br />engineering assignments upon the request of the City. The City may require based upon <br />the firm's evaluation to identify needs, develop and improve programs, establish cost <br />effective priorities for making improvements and develop a short-term or a long-range <br />program for implementation on request. The selected Consultant(s) shall provide certified <br />testing lab services as necessary to fulfill the requirements of certain regulatory agencies <br />and related soil analysis. <br /> <br />The Consultant(s) may be required to represent the City in matters involving or relating <br />to other governmental entities at the local, regional, state or national level, pertaining to <br />the County/State/Federal for any improvement programs, permits or grants in which the
