RESOLUTION NO. 2020 -,q62 <br /> / <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br /> SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING AN INCREASE IN <br /> SPENDING AUTHORITY WITH MARTIN & SONS RESIDENTIAL <br /> SERVICES, INC. FOR PRESSURE CLEANING SERVICES, IN AN <br /> AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED <br /> FIFTEEN DOLLARS AND NINETY-NINE CENTS ($2,915.99); <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS <br /> NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THIS RESOLUTION; <br /> PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, on June 21st, 2018, the City Manager executed an agreement with Martin & <br /> Sons Residential Services, Inc. to provide these Services, in an amount not to exceed $30,065.54; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, on November 16, 2018, the City Manager executed a First Amendment to <br /> the Agreement with the Contractor for additional services outside the scope of work of the <br /> original agreement, in an amount not to exceed $484.38, bringing the total contract amount not to <br /> exceed $30,549.92; and <br /> WHEREAS, on June 20th, 2019 via Resolution No. 2019-2948, the City Commission <br /> approved a Second Amendment to the Agreement with the Contractor, exercising its first of two <br /> (2) renewal options, in an amount not to exceed $35,065.54, bringing the total contract amount <br /> not to exceed $65,615.46; and <br /> WHEREAS, on January 8, 2020, the Contractor submitted an invoice in the amount of <br /> $7,111.01 for additional services performed under the original scope of services in the <br /> Agreement, which exceeded the total amount of the Second Amendment by $2,915.99; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager determined that these services were required to maintain <br /> proper aesthetics throughout the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager exercised his authority granted by the City Commission <br /> and approved payment of the invoice, subject to ratification by the City Commission; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Commission now wishes to ratify an increase in spending authority <br /> with Martin & Sons Residential Services, Inc. for pressure cleaning services throughout the City <br /> on an as needed basis, in an amount not to exceed Two thousand Nine Hundred Fifteen Dollars <br /> and Ninety-Nine Cents ($2,915.99), bringing the total contract amount not to exceed Sixty-Eight <br /> Thousand Five Hundred Thirty-One Dollars and Forty-Five Cents ($68,531.45). <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH,FLORIDA,AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Ratification of Increase in Spending Authority. The City Commission hereby <br /> ratifies an increase in spending authority with Martin & Sons Residential Services, Inc. for <br /> pressure cleaning services throughout the City on an as needed basis, in an amount not to exceed <br /> Two thousand Nine Hundred Fifteen Dollars and Ninety-Nine Cents ($2,915.99), bringing the <br /> R2020 Increase Spend Auth Martin And Sons Page 1 of 2 <br />
