BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />The resurfacing and ADA walk improvements included approximately 24,000 linear feet of road throughout the <br />city in three neighborhoods. The neighborhoods consist of a mixture of single and multi-family residential <br />dwellings. Significant amounts of the existing roadway infrastructure within these neighbor hoods did not meet <br />current ADA requirements, which warranted attention in order to conform to current standards. In order to <br />address the infrastructure needs, the City of Miami Gardens selected Craven Thompson. to analyze the roadway <br />corridors within the project areas to determine necessary resurfacing and ADA improvements. Craven Thompson <br />prepared plans for the resurfacing of all roads after having borings prepared to analyze the existing roadway <br />conditions. Concurrently, the area was reviewed for sidewalk and ADA improvements to ensure compliance with <br />ADA standards. The project involved coordination with FDOT for LAP funding and design criteria, and the <br />development of construction drawings and specifications. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />25.
