EXPERIENCE We have performed significant design and construction services for municipal and public safety facilities throughout the state of Florida including: Brevard County, Broward County, Citrus County, City of Palm Beach Gardens, Collier County, Columbia County, Desoto County, Glades County, Hernando County, Hillsborough County, Indian River County, Lake County, Lee County, Martin County, Orange County, Osceola County, Pasco County, Pinellas County, Polk County, Seminole County, St. Lucie County, Sumter County, and Volusia County. OCI has local experience designing for municipalities around the City of Sunny Isles Beach. Our work includes the design of the Municipal Complex and the Emergency Operations Center for the City of Palm Beach Gardens, as well as a subconsultant to Song + Associates for the Veterans Plaza. We are also in the process of designing MEP/FP/IT/AV for the Police Headquarters for the local City of Hollywood. In addition, we are designing a new Fire Station for the City of Oakland Park in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This talented and experienced staff is a well-integrated group with several of our team being LEED-AP accredited. Our ratio of professional engineers to technical staff is one PE for every three technical staff, one of the highest ratios in the profession. WHY OCI? We offer a wide variety of services including complete design; specification and construction administration of systems for heating-ventilating-and-air conditioning (HVAC); electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, security, telecommunications, and IT/AV Systems; plumbing systems of all kinds; and fire protection systems for both high-rise and low-rise structures. Additionally, we provide facility master plans and client-requested peer reviews of existing designs for enhanced quality control. Our projects consist of new and retrofit design solutions. Retrofit projects are a large part of our work and are usually the most interesting since they generally require the most experience to execute properly. We understand the Florida environment and know the considerations needed to engineer mechanical and electrical systems that maintain and operate on a cost-effective basis.
