BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />Ross Engineering, Inc. was hired by Broward County to prepare a project specific survey <br />of the El Rancho canal with two cross sections, one section in the throat of the canal <br />near the existing headwall of the culvert that crosses under SR 441 and a second section <br />in the canal roughly 150 feet from the headwall. Additionally, four utilities that cross <br />under the canal from north to south (FPL, Force Main, Water Main, and Gas line) will <br />be located both horizontally and vertically (NAVD converted from NGVD) using ground <br />penetrating radar and with four soft dig locations just north of the top of bank of the <br />canal. Ross designed a culvert and control structure in the canal that starts with a riser <br />box at the existing headwall at US 441 and extended east in the canal for approximately <br />150 feet. At the end of the 150 feet, a control structure was designed to allow for <br />overflow of canal conveyance into a culvert which will take water under US 441 to the <br />west. <br />Contract Amount: $25,000 <br />5.
