UES’s professional engineers, geologists, and field technicians are registered throughout the southeastern United States—most of which hold advanced degrees in their specialized fields. We encourage our personnel to develop professional accreditation such as NICET, ACI certification, and State Departments of Transportation (FDOT and GDOT). Reinaldo Villa, PE will be the contract manager, and has over 16 years of experience managing contracts related to geotechnical and materials testing services for various municipalities in Miami-Dade County, FL. Reinaldo will be supported by a staff of engineers, scientist, geologists, technicians, and administrative personnel that will ensure not only we provide experienced, technical staff, but also make the invoicing and budgeting tracking efficient for the City of Sunny Isles Beach. ABILITY TO COMPLETE PROJECTS ON SCHEDULE AND WITHIN BUDGET We do not offer a broad one-size-fits-all solution because we know every client or agency is unique. We take a proactive approach with solutions developed for each client, which allows for the most accommodating and responsive service package available in our industry. UES understands the importance of maintaining schedules and is dedicated to delivering projects in a timely manner. We understand that our clients often need to make critical decisions under tight time frames while considering budgets, end goals, follow-up actions, and public image. Our staff strives to develop and drive realistic project schedules for every task we receive. One of the first steps for the project manager is to meet with all vested parties to conduct a project kick-off meeting. As part of the project kick-off meeting, a detailed schedule is developed that involves the UES project team, sub-consultants, and the client. One of the key aspects of this meeting is to understand our Client’s Objectives and Desired Outcomes (CODO) so that we can present the proposed schedule to the client. The project schedule is designed with the complete understanding of the CODO for the client. We take into consideration many project aspects including field conditions, the scope of services, project logistics, site access, subcontractor availability, laboratory turnaround times, and regulatory deadlines to name a few. Once we have a full understanding of our resources, we develop a written schedule that is presented to the client for review. Universal’s approach is to be flexible and act as a solution provider when scheduling challenges arise. Good communication with the client is critical for any successful project. We assess impacts of federal, state, and local regulatory compliance on current or proposed activities by developing a plan prior to the decision to move forward with the proposed task.
