<br />Principal Engineer/Project Manager. Mr. Pierro has worked on many facets of the Town’s coastal program since 2006
<br />with former and current firms. He recently served as project manager for the Town’s Mid-Town Beach Nourishment
<br />Project, which was constructed with FCCE funds from March - May 2020. The project was constructed from March - May
<br />2020, placing approximately 700,000 cy of sand and utilizing three hopper dredges and specialized screening equipment.
<br />Principal Engineer/Project Manager. Mr. Pierro supports the County’s island-wide shore protection program including the
<br />federal and county-managed projects, including an ongoing Inlet Management Study for Passage Key Inlet, which is the
<br />primary sand source for the Anna Maria Island beach nourishment program. Mr. Pierro is currently supporting the
<br />federal project that is under construction and leading the design of the upcoming FEMA funded Coquina Beach project.
<br />Principal Engineer/Project Manager. Mr. Pierro has assisted with Delray Beach’s Federal Storm Damage Reduction
<br />Project since 2006 with former and current firms. He served as Project Manager and EOR for the 5th Beach
<br />Renourishment Project constructed in 2013 and continues to oversee the management of City’s program in coordination
<br />with City, County, and USACE on storm repair projects and planning for the 6th Periodic Beach Renourishment in 2021.
<br />Mr. Pierro has worked on City of Sarasota projects for over 12 years with former and current firms and served as Project
<br />Manager and Senior Engineer for Lido Key beach nourishments, including multiple FEMA supported storm damage
<br />repair projects. He developed a numerical model to evaluate the effects of dredging New Pass ebb shoal and support
<br />permitting. He was the EOR for the 2018/19 nourishment and is currently supporting the Corps with the HSDR project.
<br />Principal Engineer. Mr. Pierro has worked on the City’s coastal program for over 10 years with former and current firms.
<br />His has acted in an advisory role on the Beach Management Plan, which included several meetings with the City’s
<br />Marine Advisory Board and conceptualizing the components of the plan for further development and implementation. He
<br />maintains a positive relationship with City staff and offers responsive service and sound advice for coastal matters.
