<br />Project Name: Pump Station 0418 Upgrade <br /> <br />Client: Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department <br />3071 SW 38th Avenue Miami, Florida 33178 <br /> Pedro Angel, Construction Manager <br /> 786-810-1811 <br />Project <br />Description: Improvements and Conversion of Existing Pump <br />Station 0418 to Booster Station. <br />Nelco Fees: $5,232 <br /> <br />Project Dates <br />(Nelco Services): Apr. – May 2017 <br /> <br />Nelco <br />Key Personnel: Riza Hosein, P.G. <br /> Ulysses Batista, Jr. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Project Description: <br /> <br /> The project consisted of improvements to existing <br />Pump Station 0418 and a conversion from a pump <br />station to a booster station. <br /> <br /> Nelco’s scope of services included Standard Penetration <br />Test as well as auger Borings for subsurface profiling, <br />sampling and structural stability of in-situ soils. <br /> <br />Fieldwork involved underground utility location, layout <br />coordination, and drill crew and equipment mobilization. <br />Retained samples were also tested for grain size distribution <br />(sieve analysis) <br /> <br />Preparation of a geotechnical engineering report was <br />furnished summarizing field data and interpretations, <br />groundwater conditions, project scope, and providing <br />geotechnical recommendations for layered-asphalt system <br />construction and placement procedures, soil <br />improvement/land <br />development <br />recommendations and <br />foundation bearing capacity, <br />including engineered fill <br />material specifications for <br />type and placement <br />procedures was also provided <br />including lateral soil and <br />design parameters for pump <br />and booster station <br />construction. <br />103
