COVER LETTER AND EXECUTIVE SUMMARY August 18, 2020 CALTRAN Engineering Group, Inc. (CALTRAN) is pleased to submit this Letter of Interest and Response for the Request for Qualifications (RFQ-20-07-01), Continuing Professional Consulting Service (CCNA) for the purpose to become part of the list of Professional Firms in the continuous contract with the City of Sunny Isles to provide services in categories 2- Civil Engineer and 10 – Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) Services. Our dedication has led to a continuous and sustained growth for our firm while providing excellent services for our clients, including government agencies, local and private clients and contractors especially during this difficult time and the uncertainties of the Covid-19 Pandemic CALTRAN is a professional engineering firm specialized in roadway design, traffic and transportation engineering, transportation planning, data collection analysis and Construction Engineering and Inspections (CEI). CALTRAN since our inception in 2011, has undertaken and successfully completed multiple projects within the South Florida Region with the commitment to serve its community. CALTRAN strives to be at the forefront of our industry by concentrating on the technical and technological advances in the field, and by utilizing state of the art applications and equipment. Our more than 30 highly qualified and experienced professionals are committed to provide comprehensive and practical approaches to solve current and future transportation and planning challenges. Furthermore, we offer cost effective and responsive engineering services focused primarily on secure, efficient and environmentally sound solutions based on the client’s needs. CALTRAN has offices in Miami-Dade, Broward and Hillsborough County. Our Miami and Broward Offices located within 40 minutes of the City of Sunny Isles boundaries, will be attending all the City’s work assignments, as specified under this contract. CALTRAN feels extremely confident to represent the City in matters involving to other governmental entities at the local, regional, state or national level, pertaining to the improvement programs, permits, grants in which the City is or may be an eligible participant or has interest. CALTRAN has served through Continuing Contract Services with similar scope several municipalities and Counties including: City of Miramar, City of Dania Beach, City of Miami Gardens, and the City of Oakland Park. In addition, we have worked in multiple projects which included FDOT and Broward County as stakeholder. CALTRAN worked with the City of Sunny Isles in two different tasks that include the support traffic analysis justification of the pedestrian bridge planned over SR A1A/Collins Avenue close to the City Hall as part of the FDOT justification request as well as the Sunny Isles Beach Pier parking study.
