RESOLUTION NO. 2020 - 3117 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH OF MIAMI- <br />DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES <br />BEACH FINAL AD VALOREM TAX MILLAGE LEVY RATE AT 2.2000 <br />MILLS PER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00) OF TAXABLE <br />ASSESSED VALUE WHICH IS 2.01 % LESS THAN THE "ROLLED BACK" <br />RATE OF 2.2451 MILLS, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2020/2021; PROVIDING FOR <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Miami -Dade County, Florida, served upon the City <br />of Sunny Isles Beach a "Certification of 2020 Taxable Value"; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.065, F.S., the City of Sunny Isles Beach furnished the <br />County Property Appraiser the proposed millage rate, and the date, time and place at which public <br />hearings will be held to consider the tentative millage rate and tentative budget; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission agrees to establish the ad valorem tax millage levy rate at <br />2.2000 mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of taxable assessed value. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Adopt the Final Milla-eg Rate. The millage rate is hereby adopted as 2.2000 mills per <br />One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of assessed property value in the City of Sunny Isles Beach. The <br />millage reflected is 2.01% less than the "rolled back" rate of 2.2451 mills, for Fiscal Year <br />2020/2021. <br />Section 2. Effective Date.
