ARTICLE 29 <br />COURT TIME <br />Section 1. Bargaining unit employees shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours <br />overtime at one and one-half (1 1/2) times their regular rate for necessary off -duty work related to <br />court appearances required by court order or quasi-judicial and administrative hearings, <br />concerning pending criminal, civil or traffic cases. To be eligible, an employee must be called back <br />to work at a time outside his/her normal working hours, and at least four (4) hours before the <br />beginning of the shift and one (1) hour after the end of the shift. Pay for witness fees shall be <br />returned to the City. Employees may be permitted to accrue compensatory time for off -duty court <br />appearances in lieu of cash payments. <br />-37- <br />
