<br />SECTION 01025 - MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT

<br />PART 1 - GENERAL
<br />1.01 SCOPE
<br />A. A contract will be awarded for the total of Items 1 through 14, inclusive. It is intended that
<br />all work required to complete this Project will be included in the various bid items described
<br />below. Items 05 and 14 are project allowance applied to all bids. It is not mandatory to
<br />submit pricing for these items. Utilization and payment of these items is at the sole
<br />discretion of the City. The total base bid will include these items.
<br />B. The prices stated in the Bid include full compensation for overhead and profit, all costs
<br />and expenses for taxes, labor, equipment, furnishing and repairing small tools and
<br />ordinary equipment, patent fees and royalties, bond, insurance, lab or for handling
<br />materials during inspection, together with any and all other costs and expenses for
<br />performing and completing the work as shown on the Contract Drawings and specified
<br />herein.
<br />C. The prices stated in the Bid include full compensation for removal and disposal of waste,
<br />cleanup, and restoration of all improvements incidental to construction for which there
<br />are no other bid items; including but not limited to, sprinkler systems, drainage systems,
<br />guardrails, landscaping, fences, curbs and gutters, and all other work not included in
<br />other bid items.
<br />Payment for performing site restoration and clean-up to be included within unit price for
<br />relevant pay item including, but not limited to, pavement markings, painting, finish
<br />grading, driveways, sod, landscaping and any miscellaneous restoration work including
<br />all labor, materials and equipment.
<br />D. The CONTRACTOR's attention is called to the fact that the quotations for the various items
<br />of wo rk are intended to establish a total price for completing the work in its entirety. Should
<br />the CONTRACTOR determine that the Proposal or list of Bid Items has not established
<br />a price for some item of work; the CONTRACTOR shall include that work in some other
<br />applicable Bid Item, so that the Proposal for the project reflects the CONTRACTOR’s total
<br />price for completing the work in its entirety.
<br />1.02 PAYMENT ITEMS
<br />The format for Payment Requests shall be as directed by the EN GINEER. This shall
<br />include the level of detail and grouping of pay items.
<br />A. Item No. 1 - Mobilization / General Conditions
<br />The work and incidental costs specified under Mobilization will be paid lump sum and
<br />include full compensation for furnishing all labor, tools, materials and equipment, including
<br />but not limited to site preparation, surveying both horizontal and vertical control for
<br />construction, surveyed construction as-builts, tree trimming, protection of existing utilities
<br />during construction, excavation, dewatering (if necessary), adherence to Trench Safety
<br />Act, demolition of existing piping and removal of said piping as shown on the drawings
<br />necessary for completion of the item. Includes but not limited to, bonds and insurance,
<br />those operations necessary for the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies, and
<br />incidentals to the project site and for the establishment of temporary offices, buildings,
<br />safety equipment and first aid supplies, sanitary and other facilities. Include any other
<br />preconstruction expense, including videography of pre-construction conditions, protection
<br />of existing trees with tree barricade, coordination with franchise utilities including holding
