(EAC) has assembled a team that includes world renown bridge and landscape architects to achieve the City’s <br />vision for this visionary project to provide a Pedestrian Bridge with Park Elements across A1A at 174th Street. <br />Understanding of Scope of Work <br />EAC is fully aware of the importance of this project to the City, and to the potential improvement of pedestrian mobility in the community. <br />The project’s purpose is to provide safe pedestrian and bicycle access over Collins Avenue at 174th Street. There is currently a need <br />for pedestrians and cyclists to safely and conveniently cross Collins Avenue to access the Gilbert Samson Oceanfront Park, the beach, <br />and numerous retail shops on the west side of Collins Avenue. EAC is a FDOT-quali ed rm that specializes in bridge design . Our <br />team has the professional engineering and architectural expertise for the proposed pedestrian bridge. This bridge will be designed <br />DVDQHOHYDWHGSDUNZLWKDWWUDFWLYHODQGVFDSLQJIHDWXUHVDQGDVDIHSHGHVWULDQSDWKZD\7KH($&7HDPLVXQLTXHO\TXDOLÀHGWR <br />VXFFHVVIXOO\FRPSOHWHWKLVSURMHFW6RPHRIWKHXQLTXHTXDOLÀFDWLRQVRIWKH($&7HDPDUH <br />1.EAC understands the requirements of FDOT’s Local Agency Program (LAP) Manual as it relates to projects such as this - that <br />involve a bridge structure crossing a roadway.
