(EAC) has assembled a team that includes world renown bridge and landscape architects to achieve the City’s <br />vision for this visionary project to provide a Pedestrian Bridge with Park Elements across A1A at 174th Street. <br />Understanding of Scope of Work <br />EAC is fully aware of the importance of this project to the City, and to the potential improvement of pedestrian mobility in the community. <br />The project’s purpose is to provide safe pedestrian and bicycle access over Collins Avenue at 174th Street. There is currently a need <br />for pedestrians and cyclists to safely and conveniently cross Collins Avenue to access the Gilbert Samson Oceanfront Park, the beach, <br />and numerous retail shops on the west side of Collins Avenue. EAC is a FDOT-quali ed rm that specializes in bridge design . Our <br />team has the professional engineering and architectural expertise for the proposed pedestrian bridge. This bridge will be designed <br />DVDQHOHYDWHGSDUNZLWKDWWUDFWLYHODQGVFDSLQJIHDWXUHVDQGDVDIHSHGHVWULDQSDWKZD\7KH($&7HDPLVXQLTXHO\TXDOLÀHGWR <br />VXFFHVVIXOO\FRPSOHWHWKLVSURMHFW6RPHRIWKHXQLTXHTXDOLÀFDWLRQVRIWKH($&7HDPDUH <br />1.EAC understands the requirements of FDOT’s Local Agency Program (LAP) Manual as it relates to projects such as this - that <br />involve a bridge structure crossing a roadway. We will comply with FDOT’s latest revisions to the LAP Manual and the Florida <br />Design Manual for these bridges. <br />2.($&KDVLQFOXGHGD3HHU5HYLHZÀUPRQRXUWHDPWKDWZLOOUHYLHZQRWRQO\WKHGHVLJQRIWKHEULGJHEXWDOVRWKHFRQVWUXFWLRQ <br />sequence. <br />3.EAC has a proven reputation for providing notable bridge structures, including pedestrian bridges. In 2019, EAC <br />successfully completed the design of the Award Winning pedestrian bridges for Hard Rock Stadium as part of a design build <br />contract. <br />4.EAC’s commitment to public safety will result in a successful project. <br />5.EAC’s Structural Design Team, led by Dr. KT Lin, PE, PhD is located in Miami within minutes of the project. <br />Our Commitment to RFQ No. 20-10-01 <br />EAC is committed to the practice of engineering, as well as to maintaining excellence in the quality of our services.
