design to optimize fabrication, constructability and cost efficiencies, as requested by FDOT, in an <br />amount not to exceed $99,900.00, bringing the total contract amount not to exceed $3,155,050.00; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, on December 17th, 2020 via Resolution No. 2020-3147, the City Commission <br />approved a Sixth Amendment to the Agreement with for the development of a Maintenance of <br />Traffic plan, as required by FDOT, in an amount not to exceed $15,782.00, bringing the total <br />contract amount not to exceed $3,170,832.00; and <br />WHEREAS, city staff, along with P+W, met with FDOT and it was determined that <br />additional construction engineering services were required, including but not limited to: concrete <br />detailing, additional coordination related to traffic study, expanded construction sequence, facade <br />connection details in structural set, maintenance coordination and implementation, and <br />incorporation of added geotechnical information ("Additional Services"); and <br />WHEREAS, P+W has submitted quotes to perform the Additional Services, as required <br />by FDOT; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission now wishes to approve a Seventh Amendment to the <br />Agreement with Perkins+Will Architects, Inc. for the aforementioned Additional Services, in an <br />amount not to exceed One Hundred Ninety -Three Thousand Forty -Four Dollars ($193,044.00), <br />bringing the total contract amount not to exceed Three Million Three Hundred Sixty -Three <br />Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy -Six Dollars ($3,363,876.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approval of Seventh Amendment. The City Commission hereby approves a <br />Seventh Amendment to the Agreement with Perkins+Will Architects, Inc. for additional <br />construction engineering services were required, including but not limited to: concrete detailing, <br />additional coordination related to traffic study, expanded construction sequence, facade connection <br />details in structural set, maintenance coordination and implementation, and incorporation of added <br />geotechnical information, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Ninety -Three Thousand Forty - <br />Four Dollars ($193,044.00), bringing the total contract amount not to exceed Three Million Three <br />Hundred Sixty -Three Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy -Six Dollars ($3,363,876.00), attached <br />hereto as Exhibit "A". <br />Section 2. Authorization of Mayor. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said <br />Amendment. <br />Section 3. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br />Section 4. Effective Date.
