Agreement for Architectural Design <br />Services for the Pedestrian Overpass Bridge at 18080 <br />Collins Avenue <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff is recommending the City Commission approve the attached <br />Resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />Staff is seeking approval of a Seventh Amendment to the Agreement <br />with Perkins & Will Architects, Inc. for additional architectural design <br />services for the pedestrian overpass bridge located at 18080 Collins <br />Avenue. <br />Perkins+Will, along with city staff, recently held meetings with the <br />Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and other regulatory <br />agencies having jurisdiction over Collins Avenue. In those meetings it <br />was determined that additional construction engineering services were <br />required, as requested by FDOT. Those requirements included: <br />concrete detailing, additional coordination related to traffic study, <br />expanded construction sequence, facade connection details in <br />structural set, maintenance coordination and implementation, and <br />incorporation of added geotechnical information. <br />Total amount for these additional services will not to exceed <br />$193,044.00. <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br />Funds have been appropriated in account no. 300-5-5410-465005- <br />80005. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Description <br />Resolution <br />Seventh Amendment <br />Item Number: 10.13. <br />
