Russo, City Manager <br />FROM: <br />Susan Simpson, Assistant City Manager <br />DATE: <br />2/18/2021 <br />Approving a 60 Day Extension to the Term of the <br />RE: <br />Agreement with Wright Express Financial Services <br />Corporation for Fuel Card Program <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff is recommending the City Commission approve the attached <br />Resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />On January 20, 2011 via Resolution No. 2011-1661 the City <br />Commission approved the purchase of unleaded fuel using the Wright <br />Express Financial Service Corporation Fuel Card Program <br />piggybacking from State of Florida Contract #973-163-10-1 to fuel the <br />City's fleet. <br />This agreement between the State and Wright Express Financial was <br />subsequently renewed in 2016 and 2020 in which the City also <br />renewed with Wright Express Financial piggybacking those contracts. <br />The renewal in 2020 was only for 6 months and therefore this <br />extension was for the same period, scheduled to expire in February <br />2021. <br />The State has again extended their agreement with Wright Express <br />Financial Services Corporation for an additional sixty (60) day term, <br />effective February 6, 2021 through April 6, 2021. The City wishes to <br />piggyback this extension and continue our agreement with Wright <br />Express Financial Services Corporation via a piggyback of the State <br />contract through April 6, 2021. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />Their program allows fueling at more than 8,500 gas stations in the <br />State of Florida, four (4) of which are located within the City limits. This <br />program also provides for online access to monitor, control, and <br />manage fuel purchases and consumption. <br />City Code Section 62-13(C) provides the authority to access a <br />competitively solicited contract from any other governmental <br />orga-nizatiorswd-the-City-wishes to-pigg➢back off-thisState contra-ct <br />for fuel card services for the remainder of this current term with Wright <br />Express Financial Services Corporation for the purchase of unleaded <br />fuel through their Fuel Card Program by piggybacking the State of <br />Florida Contract #973-163-10-1 Amendment 4. <br />The State is continuing their bidding process and anticipates the <br />formal award to the most responsive bidder by the termination date of <br />
