The City desires to amend Chapter 62 01 <br /> the City Code to clarify that purchases in excess of $25,000.00 for utilities shall be <br /> administratively approved in the adopted fiscal year budget and are not subject to the <br /> requirements of Chapter 62 unless required by the City Commission. For purposes of this <br /> exemption, the term "utilities" shall include electrical, water, natural gas (excludin€ <br /> fuel/diesel purchases), sewage and solid waste collection, and telecommunication service; <br /> including but not limited to cable television, telephone lines, internet connectivity, date <br /> and voice circuits, voice over internet protocol ("VOIP"), cellular/wireless phones, wide <br /> area network ("WAN") connectivity, pagers, and wireless adapters for cellular data ("aii <br /> cards"). <br /> ATTACHMENTS: <br /> • Ordinance <br /> • Notice of Public Hearing Miami Herald <br /> Agenda Item No 9A <br /> Date 6i 19/2014 <br /> 38 <br />
