RESOLUTION NO. 2014- '22, q8 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING AN IN -KIND DONATION FOR USE OF SPACE WITHIN THE GOVERNMENT CENTER BY MOUNT SINAI MEDICAL CENTER TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY, IN AN ANNUAL ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF TWO THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,400); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION: PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Mount Sinai Medical Center has partnered with the City of Sunny Isles Beach to provide health and wellness education services to the community; and WHEREAS, through this partnership the City provides the free use of space within the Government Center and event listing in City publications; and WHEREAS, the Mount Sinai Medical Center provides the professional doctors, health care support providers, and marketing staff to offer free services to our community including lecture series and health screenings; and WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach wishes to provide an in -kind donation for use of space within the Government Center by the Mount Sinai Medical Center, in an annual estimated amount of Two Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($2,400.00). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approval of Donation. The City Commission hereby approves the donation of in- kind support for the Mount Sinai Medical Center of free use of space within the Government Center, in an annual estimated amount of Two Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($2,400.00). Section 2. Authority of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date.
