RESOLUTION NO. 2021 - 75M <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING FIRST AMENDMENTS <br />TO THE AGREEMENTS WITH DISASTER PROGRAM & <br />OPERATIONS, INC. AND TIDAL BASIN GOVERNMENT <br />CONSULTING, LLC. TO PROVIDE DISASTER DEBRIS MONITORING <br />SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL <br />THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City needed a consultant to provide disaster debris monitoring services <br />in the event of an emergency; and <br />WHEREAS, in April 2018, the City issued and advertised Request for Proposal No. 18- <br />04-03 for Disaster Debris Monitoring Services ("RFP") and received two (2) responses, Disaster <br />Program & Operations, Inc. ("DPO") and Tidal Basin Government Consulting, LLC. ("Tidal <br />Basin"); and <br />WHEREAS, DPO and Tidal Basin both represented to the City that it possessed the <br />requisite qualifications, expertise and licenses to perform all necessary work in connection with <br />the services specified in the RFP; and <br />WHEREAS, on May 17th, 2018, via Resolution No. 2018-2824, the City Commission <br />awarded the RFP to, and authorized the City Manager to negotiate and enter into a three (3) year <br />Agreement with, DPO as the primary bidder and Tidal Basin as the secondary bidder; and <br />WHEREAS, the original Agreements provided a one (1) additional two (2) year renewal <br />option; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager, being satisfied with the services provided by both DPO <br />and Tidal Basin, exercised his authority and renewed the Agreements; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission now wishes to ratify the First Amendments to the <br />Agreements with DPO and Tidal Basin, thereby renewing the terms for an additional two (2) year <br />period, commencing June 29, 2021 and expiring no later than June 29, 2023, attached hereto as <br />Exhibit "A" and `B", respectively. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Ratification of First Amendments. The City Commission hereby ratifies the First <br />Amendments to the Agreements with Disaster Program & Operations, Inc. and Tidal Basin <br />Government Consulting, LLC., thereby renewing the terms for an additional two (2) year period, <br />commencing June 29, 2021 and expiring no later than June 29, 2023, attached hereto as Exhibit <br />"A" and `B", respectively. <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager.
