Russo, City Manager <br />FROM: Evelyn Rodriguez-Plesa, Assistant to the City Manager <br />DATE: 3/18/2021 <br />RE: Ratifying Contract Renewals for Disaster Debris <br />Monitoring Services and Financial Recovery Assistance <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />This item is presented for your approval <br />REASONS: <br />In April 2018, the City issued Request for Proposal No. 18-04-03, <br />Disaster Debris Monitoring Services and Financial Recovery <br />Assistance (RFP), to secure the services of a qualified contractor to <br />monitor debris removal and assist the City in financial recovery from <br />other governmental agencies with jurisdiction over reimbursements in <br />the event of a disaster. Subsequently, on May 17, 2018, the City <br />awarded the RFP to a primary and secondary contractor (Resolution <br />No. 2018-2824). The contractors awarded were as follows: <br />Primary: Disaster Program & Operations, Inc. <br />Secondary: Tidal Basin Government Consulting, LLC <br />In an effort to have contracts in place before hurricane season, these <br />contracts were renewed for one (1) two-year term in accordance with <br />the original agreement. <br />Approval for ratification of these contracts is requested. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />These agreements will be activated only in the event of a disaster <br />which requires these services. <br />11h111C10610111:19NP <br />The City maintains an emergency fund that will be used to fulfill this <br />agreement if needed.
