RESOLUTION NO. 2021 — 3U W/ <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AWARDING REQUEST FOR <br />PROPOSAL NO. 21-03-01 TO, AND APPROVING AN AGREEMENT <br />WITH, LIGHT `ER UP MIA LLC TO INSTALL HOLIDAY LIGHTS AND <br />DECORATIONS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE <br />CITY, IN A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FOUR HUNDRED <br />SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($407,000.00) FOR A THREE (3) YEAR <br />TERM, ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE <br />CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE <br />THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, in May 2021, the City issued and advertised Request for Proposal No. 21- <br />03-01 for Holiday Lighting and Decorations ("Services"), for which five (5) responses were <br />received; and <br />WHEREAS, after careful review and consideration, city staff determined that Light Er <br />Up Mia LLC ("Vendor") submitted the lowest responsive and responsible proposal; and <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to enter into a three (3) year Agreement with the Vendor to <br />provide the Services, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Fifty -Seven Dollars <br />($157,000.00) for the first year, One Hundred Twenty -Five Thousand Dollars ($125,000.00) for <br />the second year, and One Hundred Twenty -Five Dollars ($125,000.00) for the third year, for a <br />total contract amount not to exceed to Four Hundred Seven Thousand Dollars ($407,000.00); and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to approve the Agreement with Light Er Up <br />Mia LLC to install holiday lights and decorations at various locations throughout the City, in a <br />total amount not to exceed Four Hundred Seven Thousand Dollars ($407,000.00), attached <br />hereto as Exhibit "A". <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approval of the Agreement. The City Commission hereby approves the three (3) <br />year Agreement with Light Er Up Mia LLC to install holiday lights and decorations at various <br />locations throughout the City, in a total amount not to exceed Four Hundred Seven Thousand <br />Dollars ($407,000.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br />Section 3. Effective Date.
