Through Conservation Objective 2 and its implementing policies supports the protection of <br />surface and ground waters and, maintains required surface water quality standards and serve to <br />recharge the groundwater aquifer. This difference is due to different methodologies used to determine <br />the population projections, with the utility factoring the maximum density possible. <br />The City is mostly built out, the only new population will result from infill and redevelopment <br />efforts. As a result, the City does not believe the higher NMB Water projections will be attained. <br />However, since this Water Plan Update utilizes the water supply calculations made in accordance <br />with the utility's population projections, the Water Plan utilizes the higher NMB Water <br />projections. Regardless of this difference, the City of Sunny Isles Beach 10 -year Water Supply <br />Facilities Work Plan Update finds that there will be enough water supply to meet the current and <br />future needs of its residents. <br />NMB Water, as part of its analysis of water supply demand, adjusted BEBR population <br />projections, as shown in Table 1, in order to account for known and projected development <br />activities. <br />10 <br />
