RESOLUTION NO. 2014- z2(., I <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES <br />BEACH PROPOSED AD VALOREM TAX MILLAGE LEVY <br />RATE AT 2.6000 MILLS PER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS <br />($1,000.00) OF TAXABLE ASSESSED VALUE WHICH IS <br />9.77% MORE THAN THE "ROLLED BACK" RATE OF 2.3686 <br />MILLS, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2014/2015; SETTING THE DATE, <br />TIME AND PLACE FOR THE FIRST AND SECOND PUBLIC <br />BUDGET HEARINGS AS REQUIRED BY LAW; DIRECTING <br />THE CITY CLERK AND CITY MANAGER TO FILE THIS <br />RESOLUTION WITH THE PROPERTY APPRAISER OF <br />MIAMI -DADE COUNTY PURSUANT TO THE <br />REQUIREMENTS OF FLORIDA STATUTES AND THE <br />RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />REVENUE OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Miami -Dade County, Florida, served upon the City of <br />Sunny Isles Beach a "Certification of 2014 Taxable Value "; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.065, F.S., the City of Sunny Isles Beach will furnish <br />the County Property Appraiser the proposed ad valorem tax millage rate, and the date, time and place <br />at which public hearings will be held to consider the proposed millage rate and tentative budget for <br />Fiscal Year 2014/2015; and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission agrees to establish the proposed ad valorem tax millage levy <br />rate at 2.6000 mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of taxable assessed value. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Establish the Proposed Milla eg_Rate. The proposed ad valorem tax millage rate is <br />hereby established as 2.6000 mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of assessed property value <br />in the City of Sunny Isles Beach. The proposed millage reflected is 9.77% more than the "rolled <br />back" rate of 2.3686 mills, for Fiscal Year 2014/2015. <br />Section 2. Setting the Public Hearings.
