<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach |Request for Qualifications No. 21-11-01 9 <br /> <br />SECTION 2 <br />SPECIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS <br /> <br />2.1 PURPOSE OF THIS REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATION: <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, (the “City”) a municipality located in Miami-Dade County, <br />Florida, seeks to secure a contract with a professional firm (“Consultant” or “Firm”) to provide <br />consultant planning and zoning services, including civil and traffic engineering on an as needed <br />basis. The services include but are not limited to: plan review, site plan review, including planning, <br />evaluation and appraisal reports, comprehensive planning, community engagement, land <br />development regulations (LDR’s), grant writing, assisting staff with the coordinated legal, landscape <br />architecture and engineering designs and reviews for a multitude of public and private projects <br />ranging from commercial, to high rise structures and other design-related reviews. (Outlined in <br />Section 3 Scope of Services below) <br /> <br />The qualifications and selection of consultants shall be in accordance with Florida <br />Statutes Section 287.055; Continuing Contract. <br /> <br /> <br />2.2 PRE-QUALIFICATION CONFERENCE <br /> <br />Intentionally Omitted <br /> <br />2.3 TERM OF CONTRACT <br /> <br />The resulting contract will commence upon execution by both parties which shall be the effective <br />date succeeding approval of the contract by the City Commission, or designee, unless otherwise <br />stipulated in the Notice of Award letter. The contract shall be contingent upon the completion and <br />submittal of all required documents. The initial contract term shall be for one year and shall remain <br />in effect until the completion of services, provided that the services rendered by Firm during the <br />contract period are satisfactory and that City funding is available as appropriated on an annual <br />basis. However, in the event funding is not appropriated on an annual basis during any particular <br />year within the contract period, the contract may be canceled upon thirty (30) days written notice <br />to Firm. In such an event, the City shall only be responsible for the reasonable value of services <br />performed prior to the effective date of termination. <br /> <br />2.4 OPTIONS TO RENEW <br /> <br />The City, at its sole option, may renew the contract for four (4) one-year renewal terms. Exercising <br />the option to renew is at the sole discretion of the City. <br /> <br />2.5 METHOD OF AWARD <br /> <br />Please reference Section 4. <br /> <br />
