RESOLUTION NO. 2019 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AWARDING REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS NO. 19-02-01 FOR PROFESSIONAL LEGAL SERVICES TO NABORS GIBLIN & NICKERSON, P.A.; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on February 21, 2019, via Resolution No. 2019-2923, the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach "(City") eliminated the City's in-house legal services and issued Request for Proposals No. 19-02-01 ("RFP") for Professional Legal Services ("Services"); and WHEREAS, the City received a response from each of the following four (4) firms: • Nabors Giblin & Nickerson, P.A.; • GrayRobinson Attorneys at Law • Greenspoon Marder LLP • Weiss Scrota Helfman Cole & Bierman; and WHEREAS, during a Special City Commission Meeting on March 20, 2019, the City Commission interviewed the four (4) submitting firms; and WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to award the RFP to Nabor Giblin & Nickerson, P.A. to provide the City with Professional Legal Services, pursuant to the terms, conditions, and pricing set forth in the RFP specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Award of Request for Proposal. The City Commission hereby awards Request for Proposal No. 19-02-01 to Nabor Giblin & Nickerson, P.A. to provide the City with Professional Legal Services, pursuant to the terms, conditions, and pricing set forth in the RFP specifications. Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20t1' day of March 2019. George H.
