The CGA team brings to the table a thorough understanding of the many disciplines necessary to service this contract, from both a public
and private perspective. In the course of this contract, we look forward to projects that require us to combine our capacity to work at
multiple scales and levels of finesse (often simultaneously); our ability to think outside the box and “on our feet” to tackle present and
prospective challenges; the strength of our technical skills; and our track record of experience (including with the City) and client satisfaction
in producing successful outcomes to help the City succeed in achieving its goals.
CGA’s approach to providing professional municipal services is always tailored to the community and the project assignment, based
on extensive research into the contextual conditions that give rise to development forms that are responsive to the uniqueness of each
community. While we do not favor a cookie-cutter approach, below are some basic process “building blocks” that may be drawn upon and
customized to fit the specific needs of each assignment from the City. This process framework of building blocks offers enough built-in
flexibility to accommodate adjustments that are driven by either the client or other conditions that might evolve.
We currently employ over 390 employees who provide over 20 distinct services. Many of our staff have worked for municipal governments
prior to entering their careers in the consulting world. This mixed experience allows our team to envision and avoid areas of concern prior
to them becoming issues.
CGA takes an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach to services provided to municipal clients and listed below:
Land Use Plan Amendment Review: CGA has reviewed dozens of land use plan amendments for consistency with state statutes, as well
as consistency with each municipality’s adopted Comprehensive Plan to ensure compatibility.
Land Development Regulations: CGA has developed both entirely new LDRs for municipalities or has revised them to ensure the long-term
sufficiency of those regulations to meet the needs and desires of the municipality.
Re-zonings, Variances and Conditional Use Applications: CGA processes re-zonings, variances and conditional use applications for our
multiple municipal clients.
Site Plan Review: CGA has undertaken the role of both leading and supporting planning and zoning departments in numerous municipalities.
CGA Project: Tequesta Trace Park, Weston, FL
CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH | RFQ 21-11-01 | PROFESSIONAL PLANNING AND ZONING CONSULTING SERVICES 10
