<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach |Request for Proposal No. 22-02-01 16 <br /> <br /> SECTION 3 <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES / TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />3.1 SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach is requesting proposals from qualified firms of certified public <br />accountants to audit its financial statements for three years, with the initial fiscal year ending <br />September 30, 2022. <br /> <br />3.2 INTENT <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach is requesting proposals from qualified independent Certified Public <br />Accountants and/or firms licensed to practice in the State of Florida for the purpose of providing <br />an annual examination of the financial statements and records of the City of Sunny Isles Beach. <br />The audit shall be conducted for the purpose of forming an industry standard opinion of the <br />general-purpose financial statements taken as a whole and to determine whether operations <br />were conducted in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. <br /> <br />3.3 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />The City prepares a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and intends for the auditor to express <br />an opinion on the fair presentation of its basic financial statements in conformity with generally <br />accepted accounting principles. <br /> <br />The auditor is not required to audit the combining and individual fund financial statements and <br />supporting schedules. However, the auditor is to provide an "in-relation-to" report on the <br />combining and individual fund financial statements and supporting schedules based on the <br />auditing procedures applied during the audit of the basic financial statements and the resulting <br />opinion thereon. The auditor is not required to audit the introductory section of the report or the <br />statistical section of the report. <br /> <br />The auditor shall also be responsible for performing certain limited procedures involving required <br />supplementary information required by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board as <br />mandated by generally accepted auditing standards. <br /> <br /> The auditor will be required to review the Annual Financial Report (AFR) to the Department of <br /> Financial Services, in accordance with §218.32 Florida Statutes. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
