February 20, 2020 <br />(Revised March 5, 2020) <br />Mr. Paul Abbott <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />18070 Collins Avenue <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160 <br />RE: AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br />COLLINS AVENUE ROADWAY LIGHTING, SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA <br />CTA PROPOSAL NO.2020-H06.064 (REVISED) <br />Dear Mr. Abbott: <br />The firm of Craven Thompson & Associates, Inc. (CTA) is pleased to provide you <br />with the following revised proposal for professional services for lighting along <br />Collins Avenue. This project supplements existing lighting, expanding <br />approximately 2,000' to the north. This is a City undertaking, independent of FDOT. <br />CRKNEN IROMPSON Lighting will be owned, operated, and installed by the City. <br />This project involves lighting design and preparation of construction documents. <br />The intent is to use existing conduit installed with the Collins Avenue overhead <br />conversion project to power the additional lights. This project will extend lighting <br />along Collins Avenue from Sta. 119 + 00 to Sta. 130 + 00 on both sides of the road <br />(refer to Exhibit W forstationing and conduit plans). <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />& ASSOCIMES INC, our scope of services is as follows: <br />Engineers <br />Planners This scope of services assumes the City to provide electronic files, in CAD format, of <br />Surveyors the Collins Avenue Overhead Conversion project for use as a base in preparing <br />Landscape Architects <br />construction documents. The Lighting design shall utilize City / FDOT approved <br />luminaries & poles. Plans will reflect pole locations and services. Construction <br />administration, permitting, and/or coordination with FDOT, soil • borings and <br />detailed restoration of surface features is not Included:' <br />1. ENGINEERING SERVICES <br />1.1 Lighting Design (Provided by Hillers Electrical Engineering (HEE)) <br />Utilizing the base file referenced above, HEE will prepare design <br />plans based upon City / FDOT design standards. Lighting <br />calculations reflecting proposed roadway widening/project limits <br />shall be per FDOT/City criteria. City intends to use luminaries <br />similar to those currently within Collins as well as light pole bases <br />and existing conduit provided with the Collins overhead conversion <br />J project. , As such, plans will reference,base .design by others and <br />utilize existing conduit where possible to. avoid 'disruption .to _ <br />surface features/improvements.
