RESOLUTION NO. 2022- 33IS� <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING THE UNIFORM MASTER SIGN PLAN SUBMITTED BY <br />PUBLIX SUPER MARKETS, INC., AND PREPARED BY ATLAS SIGNS BRANDING THE <br />WORLD, FOR THE PROJECT LOCATED AT 18320-18330 COLLINS AVENUE, SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, 33160; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY <br />ATTORNEY TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Zoning Resolution No. 14-Z-141, which was modified by Zoning <br />Resolution No. 15-Z-155, the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") approved a site plan and site plan <br />modification for Publix Super Markets Inc. ("Applicant"), to construct a commercial retail <br />shopping center located at 18320-18330 Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida ("Publix <br />Project"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Applicant has a new tenant, Starbucks, going into a retail space within <br />the Publix Project which is seeking signage for purposes of visibility; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 265-58(J), titled "Uniform Sign Plan", of the Code of Ordinances for <br />the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") provides that all signs in multi -tenant projects shall be <br />subject to a uniform sign plan, and shall comply with the requirements set forth therein; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the above referenced code provisions, the Applicant is proposing <br />a Uniform Master Sign Plan that would consist of five (5) wall signs, one (1) blade sign, and two <br />(2) monument signs; and <br />WHEREAS, the Development Services Department has reviewed the submitted sign plan <br />and finds that the plans are in compliance with Section 265-58(J) of the City's Code of <br />Ordinances. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approval of Uniform Sign Plan. The Uniform Sign Plan prepared by Atlas Signs <br />Branding the World and stamped received on March 15, 2022, by the Development Services <br />Department for the multi -tenant commercial spaces located at 18320-18330 Collins Avenue, <br />attached hereto as Exhibit "A", is hereby approved. <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager and City Attorney. The City Manager and City <br />Attorney are hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate the terms of this <br />Resolution. <br />Section 3. Effective Date.
