Bore Tech Utilities & Maintenance <br />RFP 22-04-01 <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City"), a municipality located in Miami -Dade County, <br />Florida, is requesting proposals from qualified proposers ('Proposers', "Bidders", <br />"Contractors" or "Finns") to complete the installation of fiber through designated <br />pathways, primarily consisting of existing conduit, as well as deployment of additional <br />conduits necessary to reach designated City facilities. All fiber routes will be installed to <br />fall within the public right-of-way (ROW), existing utility easements, or other property to <br />which the City has legal access. Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining applicable <br />permits. The Contractor must provide signed and sealed As- Built Plans upon <br />completion of the project. GIS files can be obtained upon an addendum request. <br />SCOPE OR WORK <br />Below is the Scope of Services required for this project. The proposal is based on labor <br />and material and miscellaneous materials for directional bores, trenching, installation of <br />conduits, handhole, fiber placement, splicing, termination and/or testing of fiber optic <br />cables. All work will comply with all requirements and standards set forth under this <br />project. <br />The purpose of this SOW is to describe the guidelines and methods by which the <br />physical components for the City of Sunny Isles fiber networks will be designed and <br />installed. Completed construction projects will follow the guidelines and principles <br />outlined in this document, in addition to local rules, regulations, and specifications as <br />they apply. We will adhere to industry standard quality installation principles and provide <br />quality installation services to ensure that the most reliable and cost-effective network <br />is built. All fiber routes will be installed to fall within public right-of-way (ROW), existing <br />utility easements, or other property to which the City has legal access. We will follow all <br />Federal, State, and local laws and regulations for the installation and maintenance in <br />which we have been hired to perform. <br />We are responsible for providing materials necessary to complete all work described in <br />the work order to deliver a complete and working system. Contractor shall provide cut <br />sheets with material specifications to the City for all materials for approval prior to <br />ordering. <br />We will always have a copy of approved permit and associated plans on the jobsite. It <br />will be our responsibility to coordinate notice of commencement, and coordinate with <br />the permitting authority having jurisdiction on any requirements given as a conditional <br />approval of the permitting. <br />No work will be performed before 9:OOam or after 3:30pm Monday through Friday on <br />Collins Ave requiring lane closures as permitted by FDOT per Chapter 193 of the City's <br />Code of Ordinance. All other locations no work will be performed before 7:OOam and <br />after 6:OOpm Monday through Friday and Saturday 7:00am-5:OOpm. No work is to be <br />performed on Sundays, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Forth of July, <br />Labor Day, Yom Kippur, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. <br />2 <br />
