RESOLUTION NO. 2022 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE EXPENDITURE OF BUDGETED FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF VARIOUS CITY VEHICLES WITH BARTOW FORD IN THE AMOUNT OF THREE HUNDRED TWENTY-FOUR THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY-EIGHT DOLLARS AND TWENTY-FOUR CENTS ($324,458.24), AND WITH DUVAL FORD IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED FIFTEEN THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED TWENTY-NINE DOLLARS AND EIGHTY CENTS ($115,629.80); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on September 21, 2021, via Ordinance No. 2021-574, the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") adopted the Operating and Capital Improvement Budget for the Fiscal Year Commencing October 1, 2021, through September 30, 2022 ("Adopted Budget"); and WHEREAS, the City was in need of purchasing various vehicles, which anticipated purchases were included in the Adopted Budget; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 62-13(C) of the City's Purchasing Code, purchases made under state general service administration contracts, federal, county or other governmental contracts or competitive bids with other governmental agencies, are exempt from the competitive bidding requirements set forth in Chapter 62; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the Adopted Budget, the City Administration purchased various vehicles from Bartow Ford utilizing Charlotte County Bid No. 2021000541, as reflected in the following purchase orders: PO 22-00387, PO 22-00389, and PO 22-00952; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the Adopted Budget, the City Administration purchased various vehicles from Duval Ford utilizing the State of Florida, Department of Management Services State Term Contract No. 25100000-19-1, as reflected in the following purchase orders: PO 22-00786, PO 22-00174, and PO 22-00801; and WHEREAS, the City now wishes to ratify the expenditure of budgeted funds for the purchase of various vehicles with Bartow Ford in the amount of Three Hundred Twenty -Four Thousand Four Hundred Fifty -Eight Dollars and Twenty -Four Cents ($324,458.24), and with Duval Ford in the amount of One Hundred Fifteen Thousand Six Hundred Twenty -Nine Dollars and Eighty Cents ($115,629.80). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Ratification of the Expenditure of Budgeted Funds. The City Commission hereby ratifies the expenditure of budgeted funds for the purchase of various vehicles with Bartow Ford in the amount of Three Hundred Twenty -Four Thousand Four Hundred Fifty -Eight Dollars and Twenty -Four Cents ($324,458.24), and with Duval Ford in the amount of One Hundred @BCL@100CA1F2.docRatification of Expenditures with Bartow Ford and Duval Ford Page 1 of 2 613
