<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach |Invitation to Bid No. 22-08-01 10 <br /> <br />Section 2 <br />Special Terms and Conditions <br /> <br />2.1 PURPOSE OF BID <br /> <br />The City’s fleet consists of over 200 cars and light trucks, including hybrid vehicles, see <br />Attachment A. The goal of the City of Sunny Isles Beach Fleet division is to ensure their safe <br />operation by having an effective preventative maintenance program, including for general <br />repairs. Vehicle & equipment repairs, modification, preventive maintenance inspections and/or <br />other work under this contract shall be performed at the contractor’s site. The Bidder is <br />required to have the capabilities to perform routine, scheduled, unscheduled, and any major <br />component overhaul, rebuilding, repairing and replacement capabilities. The City may add <br />vehicles or delete vehicles from the list during the term of the agreement. Any vehicles added <br />shall be serviced at the same bid prices. The City will not pre-pay for service, repair, or parts. <br /> <br />The City has established minimum specifications, which include special and specific vehicle <br />maintenance requirements to assure the safe operation of the City’s fleet vehicles. The <br />contractor shall provide industry certified mechanics, shop(s), service trucks, mechanic’s tools, <br />lifts, and any waste disposal for vehicle fluids and/or materials, as well as any vehicle fluid spill <br />clean-up as needed for all work performed at the shop. The contractor shall furnish all necessary <br />supervision, labor, tools and parts and supplies necessary to provide the service for the City’s <br />fleet in accordance with Manufacturer’s recommendations in order to maintain factory <br />warranties and any extended warranties. <br /> <br />These services will continue on each City vehicle covered by the contract until it is disposed of <br />by the City. The City may add vehicles or remove vehicles from its list during the term of the <br />agreement at the discretion of the City. Any vehicles added to the contract shall be offered the <br />same bid prices as in the original bid. <br /> <br />2.2 NON-MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE <br /> <br />A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM at <br />Sunny Isles Beach Government Center located at 18070 Collins Avenue Sunny Isles Beach, FL <br />33160, Fourth Floor Conference Room, to discuss the special conditions and specifications <br />included within this solicitation.
