RESOLUTION NO. 2022 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED FOR INVITATION TO BID NO. 22 -OS -01 FOR RENOVATIONS TO THE WILLIAM "BILL" LONE RESTROOM FACILITY; AUTHORIZING THE RE -ADVERTISEMENT OF THE BID; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on May 25, 2022, the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") issued and advertised Invitation to Bid No. 22-05-01 ("Bid") for renovations to the William "Bill" Lone restroom facilities ("Services"), and received one (1) submittal; and WHEREAS, upon careful review and consideration, the City Manager recommends rejection and re -advertisement of the Bid; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section C-3.10 (a) of the City's Charter, the City Commission, upon recommendation of the City Manager and by a majority, has the authority to reject all bids and re -advertise; and WHEREAS, the City now wishes to reject all bids submitted for Bid No. 22-05-01, and directs the City Manager or designee to re -advertise for the Services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Resection of All Bids. The City Commission hereby rejects all bids received for Invitation to Bid No. 22-05-01. Section 2. Re -Advertisement of Bid. The City Manager or designee is hereby directed to issue and re -advertise the bid for renovations to the William "Bill" Lone restroom facilities. Section 3. Authorization of the City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 4. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption.
