RESOLUTION NO. 2022 - �'- <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY <br />OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH AND DADE COUNTY POLICE BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION <br />("PBA"), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE <br />CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER <br />TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, on October 11t, 2019, the City of Sunny Isles Beach ("City") entered into a Collective <br />Bargaining Agreement ("Agreement') with the Dade County Police Benevolent Association regarding <br />terms and conditions of employment for police officers in the bargaining unit; and <br />WHEREAS, the Agreement is set to expire on September 30, 2022, and the parties have <br />negotiated a new Agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the negotiations have concluded and the terms and conditions memorialized in the <br />Agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of Sunny Isles Beach desires to approve the new Collective <br />Bargaining Agreement for a period of three years. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES <br />BEACH AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approval of Collective Bargaining Agreement. The City Commission hereby approves <br />the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Police Benevolent Association ("PBA") in substantially <br />the same form attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br />Section 2. Authorization of the Mayor and City Manager. The Mayor and City Manager are <br />hereby authorized to execute said Agreement. <br />Section 3. Further Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br />Section 4. Effective Date.
